Andrew McLeod is a Sacramento native who has recently caught the local history bug. His lifelong interests in cooperative economics and topography sparked an interest in Sacramento’s long history of radical economic organizing, which stretches all the way back to the Gold Rush. He is excited to share his excavation of our city’s hidden history with residents and visitors alike.
“It was like seeing Sacramento with Howard Zinn.” – Laura O., Washington DC.
“Andrew McLeod is one of the best and brightest minds in the arena of local Sacramento history. The windows and angles he provides into the past are refreshing and bring light to the often overlooked importance of human struggle in the face of an unforgiving West in the 19th century. His tours are an outstanding way to step back and understand the various contexts for how we got to where we are today.” – James C. Scott MA, MLIS, Sacramento Room, Sacramento Public Library
